About Guruji

Guruji was born on July 7, 1952, in a farmer’s family in Dugri village, Malerkotla Tehsil of Sangrur District in Punjab. The day he was born, the midwife saw a snake and a strange bright light illuminate the room. When the priest prepared the birth chart, he told Mata Ji (Guruji’s mother) that this child is not just hers but belongs to the entire universe.
 

Guruji was and still is an evolution of Divine Light, the creator himself. He is the embodiment of the Divine. He is the Mahapurush of our age who came to uplift humanity out of the morass of materialism, to guide it to its righteous duty, to lessen the sorrow of man, to show him his true image, and to teach him the forgotten art of love and sharing. He came to revive dharma and to replant it in more conducive surroundings.
 

Guruji’s Childhood

Guruji grew up studying at the Dugri Primary School and Government High School after which he further pursued postgraduation in English and Economics from a government college at Malerkotla. He spoke fluent English and had beautiful handwriting. He pursued his studies to fulfill the wishes of his father who wanted him to get a Master's degree.
 

As a young boy, Guruji was often found meditating in the fields completely impervious to the burning sun or strong rains. He devoted all his time to meditation. He had no inhibitions about going to the graveyard at night and would often be found meditating there for hours. By the age of eight, he had full control over all his desires.
 

One of the earliest known incidents of discovering Guruji's fondness for spirituality was of him spending time at the Dera of Sant Sewa Dasji at Dugri. Guruji would often go and sit at the Dera, much to the dislike of his family who wanted him to spend time studying rather than sitting amongst the sages. It often happened that he would be locked inside a room only to be found sitting with the sages at the Dera later. The saints at the Dera recognized his divine powers at an early age. They knew that he was the lord of the universe. They would often tell people to leave the young Guruji alone as he was the “Lord of all Three Lokas” himself and not to be interfered with.
 

His Grace

While Guruji had his ways of curing people, he took great pains to suppress his supernatural powers in front of others to appear normal. He would often give 'chai' (tea) as 'prasad' to cure a sick person. Whenever he visited somebody’s house, miraculous improvements could be observed in the health of the sick in the house. He could also casually foretell events.
 

He often left his teachers perplexed by suddenly disappearing from the classroom and coming back the next moment. His classmates even claimed that Guruji used to know all the questions that would come in the exam in advance.

Bapu Ji (Guruji’s father) recalled that whenever his young son helped him till the fields, the crop yield would turn out to be several times more than that of others in the area. By this time Guruji’s parents had realized that their son was no ordinary human being but God himself. His mother too then started touching his feet and started calling him 'Guruji', as he was now called by everyone.
 

Guruji As We Know Today

Guruji left his village in 1975 (as reported by his classmates). After finishing college, he briefly worked for the Punjab School Education Board in its field office at Sangrur as a clerical assistant in 1983.
 

Before entering sainthood, he spent some time in Mumbai and did severe tapasya to purify himself and shred every bit of ego. After some time, he left to fulfill his spiritual journey in this world. He would often appear in the house of his acquaintances, stay for a few days, and then move to wherever he wished to. He would even disappear for days at a stretch. Wherever he went people would come to him to seek solutions or a cure from ailments. Soon the news of his powers spread all over Punjab.
 

Guruji never slept. He prayed and did tapp so that we could sleep peacefully. He continuously did paath. He bestowed peace of mind and joy to devotees who came for his darshans. His blessings were enough to solve the devotee’s problem without touching him.
 

Guruji did not give any sermons. He did not preach like usual gurus but always taught his devotees by practical experiences. He becomes a personal guru to each devotee and his messages are received by the devotee in ways known only to the devotee. This one-to-one connection is elevating and transforming.
 

His devotees still feel his presence even after several years since his Mahasamadhi (31st May 2007). His divine fragrance which was similar to that of roses and chandan is experienced by many devotees even today. Many sangats have also experienced the divine presence as the flow of Amrit from his swaroops. Om darshans, formation of hearts (symbol of divine love), and so many other signs which can be unique and personal to each devotee are some of his ways to reassure that he’s always there with you.
 

He is the supreme power who can appear in any form at anytime, anywhere. There is absolutely nothing which is beyond him. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. He does not have any successor. He said that his followers should directly connect with him through prayers, meditation and talking to his swaroops after he leaves. He said, “I was, I am, and I will be forever.”
 

His Aura, his presence, and his blessings on his ever-increasing devotees are like an ocean and it’s impossible to describe him in words. His love unconditional and equal for all. He is the Father of all fathers and Mother of all mothers. No friend is as faithful as him and no lover can love us like him. There is no God above him.

With Simran, Sewa, and Satsang we can connect to our Divine Guru, and open ourselves to receive His divine blessings. In Guruji’s words, his "Blessings Always" were not for a short period, but forever.
 

Guruji Lives on Forever

He may not be present in his physical form anymore, but he is still with us every step of our journey. He remains as Our Holy Father and we remain forever his children. He continues to protect his sangat like before. He fills his devotees with love to help them become God loving rather than God fearing. He still gives his guidance and darshans to his disciples in amazing ways. People who have never met Guruji in his physical form are also being guided and given his divine darshans. All they need to have is faith and complete surrender. There have been many incidences where Guruji has come to our rescue even after his Mahasamadhi.

 

Now there are millions of devotees spread all around the world. The number of his devotees is ever increasing and the satsangs are being held all over the world.

 

There are not enough words to describe our beloved Guruji. For words cannot capture the infinite. He is beyond words and there is no human being who has the power to understand him entirely. Everything you read, listen to, see or experience is a form of his blessings and it only occurs to you upon his will. As he used to say, “everything by choice, nothing by coincidence.” You will only connect with him when he allows you to. Guruji is Mahashiv who came to this world to forgive our sins, reduce our sufferings, and show us the path of liberation. All his devotees love him immensely and we can never express our gratitude for all that he has done for us.
